EXISTING BRIDGE RENOVATED

The teams that have already laid the 65 tons of wear layer asphalt of the 75-meter-long sister bridge it has built, carry out the works such as auto guards, pedestrian guardrails and antivandalism fence systems as soon as they are manufactured in the factory environment. Metropolitan also renewed the existing bridge within the scope of work. The teams, which remove the worn and aging asphalt under heavy tonnage vehicles and lay 50 tons of wear layer asphalt instead, carry out other productions such as curbs and pavements on the streets and streets connected to the bridges in the project.

2 TONS OF ASPHALT TO TURGUT ÖZAL AVENUE

The Metropolitan started to pave the wear layer asphalt on Turgut Özal Street, which bears the name of the bridge. Accordingly, 350 tons of wear layer asphalt will be laid on the double-lane street, which is 2 meters long. The teams, which are now bringing together about 500 tons of top layer asphalt with the street, continue their work at an intense pace. While the newly built bridge is open to traffic, traffic flow will be restored on the existing bridge after the asphalt paving work is completely completed.

TRAFFIC WILL MAKE HISTORY

When the project is completely completed, the traffic density in the region will be a thing of the past. Accordingly, the road separating the Istanbul-Kocaeli provincial border on Turgut Özal Caddesi will be crossed over the highway with a new additional bridge and reconnected to Turgut Özal Avenue. Thus, the industrial areas in the east-west region of the TEM connection road and the local people and vehicle drivers will have comfortable and safer transportation.
