A blue flag was hung on the beach of the Provincial House, which serves under our Ministry, in the Ayvalık district of Balikesir.
Speaking at the blue flag delivery ceremony at the facility located in Küçükköy Mahallesi Sarımsaklı location, Balıkesir Governor Hasan Şıldak said that three additional blue flags were awarded to the city this year.
Hasan Şıldak states that all facilities and sites that meet the criteria are blue. bayraklı Stating that they wanted it to be, “Today, the first public facility in Turkey to receive a blue flag was the Provincials House, which belongs to the Provincial Service Union.” said.
Turkish Environmental Education Foundation (TÜRÇEV) Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Abdülkadir Ateş stated that they are trying to give a blue flag to every region that meets the criteria.
Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yücel Yılmaz also stated that the blue flag suits the House of Provinces very well.
After the speeches, the blue flag brought by lifeguards from the coast of the House of Provinces with jet skis was hoisted by Governor Şıldak and his entourage.
Ayvalık District Governor Hasan Yaman, Ayvalık Mayor Mesut Ergin, Provincial Service Union Secretary General İsmail Süntük and citizens also attended the ceremony.
