Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality continues to organize activities for children in prefabricated settlement areas located in the earthquake zone. 'Karagöz and Hacivat Workshops' were established in the neighborhoods of Samandağ and Defne districts and in the center of Hatay. IMM, which is in the region with 20 artists and expert teams, also organizes drama and painting workshops. Due to the March 27 World Theater Day, a show will be held with theater groups affected by the earthquake.
He established workshops for children in the training tent of the Ministry of National Education at the IMM Antakya Disaster Coordination Center. Starting from the center of Hatay, IMM City Theater actors tour the neighborhoods of Samandağ and Defne districts. IMM puts a smile on the faces of hundreds of earthquake survivors with its creative dramas, children's theater and illusion shows.
ARTISTS IN HATAY FOR CHILDREN
IMM commissioned 20 artists in Hatay for children. Artists come together with children in Hatay every week for events. City Theaters Branch Manager İlyas Ceran stated that they made expeditions in the earthquake zone with İBB administrators and stated that he traveled with experts in 39 different fields. Ceran said, “We determined where there was a high circulation of children and made observations according to the needs. Artists from various parts of Turkey, especially Istanbul, want to reach the region through us. We also create a pool of volunteers from artists and collect data. We meet with earthquake victims every week through different activities on the road map," he said. Ceran stated that the earthquake victims, especially mothers, are as happy as the children, and that they can linger.
ORCHESTRAS COMING TOGETHER
IMM Orchestras Directorate comes together with Hatay Symphony Orchestra and Antakya Civilizations Chorus and becomes a partner in solidarity. During the solidarity process that will continue throughout the year, two music ensembles will give concerts together with the IMM Orchestras Directorate. The first concert of the “Music of Solidarity” project will take place on March 31 at the Cemal Reşit Rey (CRR) Concert Hall.

In addition, solidarity with theaters will take place on March 27, World Theater Day. IMM, Istanbul Theater Cooperative and Mediterranean Theater Cooperative and IMM Cultural Centers will make a one-day solidarity with the theater groups affected by the earthquake in the earthquake region. All of the stamp payments of the actors here will be transferred to the theater groups in that region.
