IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu and Sultanbeyli Mayor Hüseyin Keskin, together with the students of İBB Sports Schools, opened the 300-decare complex, which was put into service within the scope of the “300 Projects in 150 Days” marathon, costing approximately 40 million liras. Speaking at the opening ceremony, İmamoğlu said, “We are determined to spread the fruitful money of our people to every region of Istanbul in the most fruitful way and to offer this service, with meticulous work in our 39 districts in Istanbul. Because we have a management mentality that knows how to account for our nation, and looks at it like the light of its eye while spending our nation's money. We come from a culture that knows that politics ends at the ballot box, then the main thing is to serve the people and that we have to give an account to the people in this journey," he said.
Sultanbeyli 100th Year Sports Complex was put into service with the cooperation of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) and Sultanbeyli Municipality. IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu, Sultanbeyli Mayor Hüseyin Keskin and Kartal Mayor Gökhan Yüksel opened the approximately 300-decare complex, which was put into service in Mimar Sinan District as part of the “300 Projects in 40 Days” marathon, together with the students of İBB Sports Schools. Speaking at the opening where hundreds of children created a visual feast with Turkish flags in their hands, İmamoğlu gave examples of the qualities that sports, which started at a young age, brought him in his life. “We want; Imamoğlu said, “You may not be a good football player tomorrow, you may not be a good tennis player or another branch… But whether you are a doctor, a teacher, or a mayor, this is what you experience today. All of the good trainings will make a great contribution to you. Never forget this. Therefore, please come here and be with us, get good training. Look at life in a healthy way," he said.

Emphasizing that they are making an intense effort to transform Istanbul with sports, İmamoğlu pointed out that they are working hard to bring the 2036 Olympics and Paralympic Games to Istanbul in this context. Emphasizing that there are parameters other than bringing new sports facilities to the city in this sense, İmamoğlu said, “What's in it? There's a lot of work in it. There is courtesy in it. This includes playing the game according to the rules of the game. When you get all the education, you actually become a very respectable, democratic and healthy society. Expressing that IMM is the biggest institution providing sports training in Turkey, İmamoğlu said, “I am proudly watching this facility, which was opened within the scope of 300 projects in 300 days. Here, there is an investment of over 150 million liras. The name of this complex is '100. Year Sports Complex is a step that befits the centennial of our Republic.”

Sultanbeyli Mayor Keskin also shared the information that they will operate it together with IMM as per the common use protocol. Pointing out that 2000 square meters of the facility will be used by İBB and 12 thousand 500 square meters will be used by them, Keskin said, “We signed a beautiful protocol so that the open areas will also be used by İBB and Sultanbeyli Municipality. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Metropolitan Municipality and our colleagues. With a beautiful protocol, we are presenting a beautiful facility to our precious Sultanbey residents and guests. I would like to thank him for the fact that its construction was started during the period of our previous İBB President, Mr. Mevlüt Uysal. IMM AND SULTANBEYLİ MUNICIPALITY WILL JOIN
IMM Deputy Secretary General Arif Gürkan Alpay also shared the following information about the complex that was opened in his speech:
“The stadium section of the facility, which was built by IMM and has a total area of 38 thousand 969 square meters, is operated by Sultanbeyli Municipality in accordance with the protocol signed. In the complex, 68×105 meters in size, 3250-person tribune capacity, 1 football field, 2 referee rooms, 4 locker rooms, 2 coaching rooms, 9 classrooms, 22 offices, 1 shooting area, 3 club rooms, 1 first aid area, for use by Sultanbeyli Municipality. mosque is located. For the use of İBB, there are 3 tennis courts, 1 fitness room, 1 studio hall, 2 indoor carpet pitches and 16 locker rooms.”

İmamoğlu and the accompanying delegation visited the sports complex after the program. Meeting with young athletes in tennis courts and fitness halls, İmamoğlu conveyed his wishes for success.
