The European Journalists Federation, which is known as the largest press professional organization in the European continent, will hold its general assembly in İzmir.
The summit, which will be held in partnership with the Izmir Journalists Association, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, and the Journalists' Union of Turkey, aims to mediate the strengthening of the local media in Izmir.

“The Turkish Press will remain free as long as it is strong and shows the right solidarity. It is important for our colleagues to benefit from the equipment they have caught in the world press. As IGC, which carries the torch of independence in the Turkish media, we are very proud to realize Turkey's largest international press center and to organize an event for the first time in Turkey with the participation of our foreign colleagues.
