İrfan Değirmenci was born on November 3, 1977 in Ankara. His father is from Antalya, Kumluca; His mother is from Afyonkarahisar. He studied secondary and high school at TED Ankara College. He graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Communication.
He started his career at Ostim TV in 1996. After his speech in the Political Square program, he was called by Ali Kırca as an intern. She did an internship at ATV. On October 22, 1999, Ali Kırca switched to ATV with his team. After that, he started to make life news in Ankara, where politics news is usually made. He moved to Star TV in 2001, CNN Türk in 2003 and Kanal D in 2005. He started presenting Alarm Clock with İrfan Değirmenci on FOX in 2007 and stayed on this channel for three years. In 2010-2017, he presented Good Morning with İrfan Değirmenci on Kanal D. In February 2017, Kanal D terminated his employment. Some circles and Değirmenci gave the reason for this as the statement on Twitter that he would vote 'no' in the constitutional amendment referendum.
