Sabancı Maturation Institute 'Turkish Culinary Arts Workshop' Opened

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer inaugurated the first Turkish Culinary Arts Workshop established within the Sabancı Maturation Institute as part of the Turkish Cuisine Week events.

Under the auspices of the Ministry of National Education, Minister Özer was also accompanied by his wife Nebahat Özer, who opened the Turkish Culinary Arts Workshop coordinated within the Sabancı Maturation Institute affiliated to the General Directorate of Lifelong Learning.

General Manager of Lifelong Learning Hüseyin Burak Fettahoğlu and Istanbul National Education Manager Levent Yazıcı attended the opening program.

Minister Özer, who opened the Turkish Culinary Arts Workshop established within the Sabancı Maturation Institute in Istanbul, made an assessment of the workshop and said:

“The Turkish Culinary Arts Workshop, where traditional and contemporary Turkish cuisine, Ottoman palace cuisine and world cuisine are handled with an inclusive approach, is important in terms of being a first. With this, we aim to train gastronomy experts who have the equipment and innovation needed by the industry and can synchronize their professional skills with the world. In the workshop, we aim to leave heritage flavors to the world by training professional chefs who have the qualifications needed in the field of gastronomy, follow academic and current developments, and interpret Turkish and world culinary arts with an interdisciplinary understanding.”
