Carrying historical monuments to the future with its restoration works, Ordu Metropolitan Municipality is restoring the historical mansion belonging to the Köymen family, which was expropriated in 2013 in Altınordu Selimiye Mahallesi Hamam Sokak, with the support of the Ordu Governorship YIKOB Presidency.

Selimiye mansion, which was built at the end of the 19th century and consists of a 3-storey building, will be added to the cultural inventory upon the completion of the restoration.

DAMAGED BUILDINGS REMOVED

Within the scope of the works, all decaying wooden walls, flooring, ceiling frame and concrete floor were dismantled in the historical mansion, which was built on a 512 square meter closed area on a 172 square meter plot.

Impregnation on the wooden frame, thermal insulation works between the walls, plaster blasting on the existing stone walls were carried out, and the chimney, which was in danger of destruction, was removed and the chimney and hearth were rebuilt with the original blend brick. The wooden roof frame was made, the insulation board was laid and the works of covering it with Turkish style tiles were carried out.

THE WORKS CONTINUE

In Selimiye Konak, which was built as three floors on a half-floor basement, the teams continue to plaster on the wall, wooden flooring, electrical connection works and the production of windows and doors in accordance with the project.
