The existing pedestrian overpass on the Darıca Eskihisar Ferry Road is being renovated by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality to make it suitable for disabled citizens. The main beam removal work of the pedestrian overpass was carried out at midnight in order not to interfere with traffic.
THE BEAMERS OF THE OVERPASS HAVE BEEN REMOVED
Renovation of the existing bridge on the Darica Eskihisar Ferry Road has started in order to increase the comfort of the citizens and to ease the passage of the elderly and disabled citizens. Within the scope of Darıca Ferry Road pedestrian overpass construction work, dismantling of 60 tons of existing steel pedestrian overpass, 42 tons of steel fabrication, 220 m3 c30/37 ready-mixed concrete, 105 tons of ribbed reinforcement steel, 22 m3 c45/55 ready-mixed concrete, 1.4 tons of high-strength prestressing steel and 1 double-entry elevator, 200 m2 elevator towers will be covered with aluminum profiles and tempered glass. After the renovation work, citizens will have the comfort of a bridge with an elevator.
