Head of Defense Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir made statements about defense industry projects in the Weekend program with Hakan Çelik. In this context, Demir said that the first flight date of the National Combat Aircraft will take place in 2025. Demir used the following statements: “We will make the first flight in 2025. Let's give a later date, but be prepared for surprises. We will deliver it to our Air Force in 2030.”

İsmail Demir continued his speech as follows:

“The invisibility feature is a technology. It is advancing step by step. We more or less caught up with certain technologies in some planes. This feature will get better as the work continues. Both electronic systems, cyber security, and intelligent systems will be in topics such as artificial intelligence. It will be completely smart, so to speak. The reason why we say 4.5th generation is due to the engine. We use the F110 engine. It is not an engine developed for the 5th generation.”

When the domestic engine is made, we will be able to call it the 5th generation and even beyond. Already now, the concepts of the 5th and 6th generation are a bit confused. When it comes to the 6th generation, what we aim for here is completely electronic, friends even say that we can do it without human beings, one step further.”

The National Combat Aircraft had left the hangar recently.

Developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), the National Combat Aircraft left the hangar before March 18, in accordance with the program schedule. Announcing the development on his official Twitter account, President of Defense Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir used the following statements:

“In memory of our martyrs! We said that we would take our National Combat Aircraft out of the hangar on March 18. Our plane is on the runway today! Our President Mr. Under the leadership of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, I hope we will witness the soaring of our sky home."

National Combat Aircraft is nearing the end

Temel Kotil, General Manager of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), made a statement to A Haber. In this context, Kotil stated that they were ready for the exit of the National Combat Aircraft from the hangar on March 18, 2023 and used the following statements:

“We have a promise to get him out of the hangar on March 18. Of course, we do not need to wait for March 18. We learned a lot. We've recovered. Whenever our elders want to hold a ceremony, we are about to finish our preparations. A job that seems very difficult at the beginning gets easier as it progresses. We learned that.”

“MMU started with 60 people. Currently, TUSAŞ has more than 1300 engineers. If we include our other companies, 2000 people serve. We had a very difficult time in the design, but the production progressed very quickly. This was the result of TAI working for Airbus and Boeing in the past years.”
