The FIBA U18 Men's European Championship, hosted by İzmir, marked the sports agenda with its successful organization. Making an evaluation after the final match, which İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer watched from the stands, Basketball Federation President Hidayet Türkoğlu thanked the institutions that contributed to the organization, including İzmir Metropolitan Municipality.

Alan Ibrahimagic (German Under-18 Men's National Team Head Coach): “The organization was generally successful. Everyone helped us by approaching us in a very friendly way. We never had any problems with transportation, and we were able to change our meeting and meal times when necessary. The people in the office and serving as hosts supported us in case of any situation. In addition, having a pool in the facility where we stayed was important for the players to rest.”
Craig Nicol (Great Britain Men's National Under-18 Team Head Coach): “On behalf of Great Britain basketball, I would like to thank the host Turkey, and especially the people of Izmir, for their kind and generous attitude towards our team. The officials at the hotel and all the staff who took care of us, especially our host, did an excellent job. I am aware of the great work that has gone into organizing such an event. Thank you everyone for such a wonderful experience.”
Torsten Loibl (Czech Republic Under-18 Men's National Team Head Coach): “Normally, in such large organizations, problems may arise in terms of both transportation and accommodation. However, we did not encounter any problems during the tournament. In addition, we can set the schedule of the day ourselves. The fact that we can decide on our training, meal and service times to a certain extent gives us a great deal of freedom and we are very happy for that.”
Lamine Kebe (France Under-18 Men's National Team Head Coach): “Everything has been thought of for us in terms of organization. The halls where the matches were played were at a very good level. The rooms in the hotel we stayed in were perfect. In addition, we did not have any problems in terms of transportation. Everything was suitable for high-end performance.”
Stipe Kulis (Croatia Under-18 Men's National Team Head Coach): “The organization of the FIBA Men's Under-18 European Championship is very well done. We have everything we need in terms of accommodation. It has air-conditioned rooms and a good internet connection. We played matches in both halls in Izmir, where the organization was held, and we had a great time. I loved Turkish culture. People are very helpful and I am very happy to be with them.”
Daniel Miret (Spain Under-18 Men's National Team Head Coach): “We are very happy to be a part of such an important organization. We were satisfied with both the hall and the accommodation throughout the championship. Competitions are played in front of spectators who know what basketball is. We are excited to be in İzmir and to take part in the championship.”
Elad Yasin (Israel Under-18 Men's National Team Head Coach): “This is the first European Championship I've participated in. The organization is generally very successful. Our team guides and organization officials are very professional. I am pleased that the championship is organized in Turkey.”
Andrea Capobianco (Italy Under-18 Men's National Team Head Coach): “There is an incredible atmosphere in Izmir. All teams stay in the same place in the spirit of the Olympic Games. It's a very nice feeling. We do not have any problems in terms of organization. We have been to Turkey several times in the past years. Even the bronze medal as a team in Samsun kazanmystic. Turkish Basketball Federation once again put its signature under a quality organization.”
Vaso Milovic (Montenegro Under-18 Men's National Team Head Coach): “FIBA Men's Under-18 European Championship is very successful in terms of organization. The staff help us in every way. This makes our job much easier.”
Toni Simik (North Macedonia Under-18 Men's National Team Head Coach): “We are very pleased with the organization of the FIBA Men's Under-18 European Championship. The teams support us in every way.”
Karolis Abramavicius (Lithuania Under-18 Men's National Team Head Coach): “As a team, we're going to have a lot of positive things to say about the organization. It is a fun and beautiful tournament. We are very pleased with the place where we stay, as well as the hall where we play our training and matches. We had been in an organization held in Konya before. We get the same quality of service in this tournament as well.”
Andrzej Adamek (Poland Under-18 Men's National Team Head Coach): “Accommodation and transportation are always important in championships like this. Buses arrive on time before matches and training sessions. Training hours and meeting organizations also please us. Of course, as in every championship, the volunteers do their best to make everything the best for us. I also thank them.”
Vladimir Djokic (Serbia Under-18 Men's National Team Head Coach): “We are very satisfied with the service at the hotel and all the staff around us. Our staff and host are very professional and try to make our stay here more enjoyable. Everything in the organization is at a very high level.”
Danijel Radosavljevic (Slovenia Under-18 Men's National Team Head Coach): “On behalf of the Slovenian team, I would like to thank the Turkish people for their great hospitality and hosting us in this tournament. In general, we are satisfied with the overall organization of the tournament. We were particularly pleased with the basketball halls and their general conditions, which are great for playing basketball.
Ilias Katzouris (Greece Under-18 Men's National Team Head Coach): “The FIBA Men's Under-18 European Championship is very successful as an organization. Everyone treated us very warmly throughout the championship. Both the organization and the game quality of the tournament are very high.”
