Bayram Ali Ersoy Appointed as the President of ÖSYM

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, OSYM President Prof. Dr. Ersoy's decision on his appointment was published in the Official Gazette.

The decision was made in accordance with Articles 3, 2 and 3 of the Presidential Decree No. 7.

prof. Dr. Halis Aygün was dismissed by the decision of President Erdoğan after the allegations about the 2022 KPSS License sessions.

Who is Bayram Ali Ersoy?

Ersoy graduated from METU Mathematics Department in 1996. Ersoy, who completed his doctorate and master's education at Yıldız Technical University, Institute of Science and Technology, received the title of associate professor in 2012 and professor in 2017.

Ersoy, who conducts research on mathematics, commutative rings and algebras, group theory and generalizations, and basic sciences, has many articles published in national and international journals.

Ersoy has been a member of the evaluation board in the scientific journal Italian Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics since 2017.

Ersoy, who served as the General Secretary of Yıldız Technical University and Advisor to the Rector between 2017-2020, has been serving as the Head of the Mathematics Department of the same university since 2020.
