The residents of the capital showed great interest in the first of the “Ankara Heritage Construction Site Tours”, which ABB has brought to life in order to revive tourism and introduce the history of the city. ABB President Mansur Yavaş, who shared on his social media accounts about the free tour program organized to the construction sites in the Arkeopark, Roman Theater and Ankara Castle, whose restoration works are continuing, said, "As we carry our past to the future, we witness historical moments with the people of Ankara."

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality opened the Archeopark, Roman Theater and Ankara Castle Street Rehabilitation, restoration and conservation work areas to the visitors of the capital in order to promote the history of the city and to revive tourism.

Citizens, who showed great interest in the first of the "Ankara Heritage Construction Site Visits" application, visited the Arkeopark, Roman Theater and Ankara Castle Street Rehabilitation construction sites on site and received information during the free tour.

Stating that they want to increase the awareness of the city's historical and cultural heritage with the 'Ankara Heritage Site Trips' application and to make all these archaeological works more visible and known to the citizens of the Capital, ABB Cultural and Natural Heritage Department Head Bekir Ödemiş said:

“We continue to rapidly restore the existing historical and cultural archaeological assets in Ankara. We aim to make all these archaeological studies more visible and known to the people of Başkent. With the project, we also aim to contribute to the tourism of the Capital. Ankara is an important city that has hosted great civilizations in history. We made the trip announcement on our corporate page. We have 2 programs in July and 2 programs in August. The quota is 20 people for now. We are revising our program so that more people can participate in the trip. The exciting thing is: The quota was filled in a short time, which shows that the interest is intense. During the tour, we show the restoration works of historical and Ottoman structures in the Archeopark, Roman Theater and Ankara Castle. Expert friends give information during the trip. We also give small treats and gifts on the trip. We are explaining and promoting the history of Ankara by both touring and entertaining.”

Hulya Cakir: “It was very useful to see the restoration work in place. The colleagues at the construction site also work very carefully, which I liked very much. The artifacts are preserved, they are taken care of, and experts stand at their head. I saw the trip announcement on social media and it caught my attention, I'm glad I came.”

Efe Can Tanrisever: “I am a history student. I am conducting a study in which I mainly focus on Ancient Rome. I saw that it is a very important work for Ankara to bring historical buildings to Ankara and to influence tourism. Our cults in the Archeopark are very valuable for our country and Ankara. I would like to thank the Metropolitan, who contributed to this project and gave us the opportunity to visit the historical buildings.”

The Department of Cultural and Natural Heritage, which takes the citizens of the capital on a historical journey; On 30 July, 13 and 20 August 2022, a site visit will be organized at the Roman Theater and Archeopark between 11.00:12.00 and 13.00:14.00, and to Ankara Castle between XNUMX:XNUMX and XNUMX:XNUMX.
