Turkish States are on the Way to Unite in Space!

The Organization of Turkish States (TDT) is taking an important step to improve cooperation between member countries in the field of space and satellite. For this purpose, it was decided to establish a special team of engineers to develop a common satellite.

Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkish States (TDT) Mirvokhid Azimov gave information about the work carried out in the field of space and satellite.

Making an evaluation in Ankara, where he came for the 3rd Meeting of TDT Space Agencies within the scope of the Space Technology Conference hosted by the Turkish Space Agency, Azimov said that they had a very productive and successful meeting.

Azimov stated that they discussed many issues related to the exploration of space and agreed on some issues. Stating that they also made evaluations regarding the location of the second Space Camp Turkey event, which was held in Bursa last year and received very good feedback, Azimov stated that such organizations contribute to the knowledge of young people. Azimov said, “On the other hand, such events increase solidarity and the feeling of belief in a common future, allowing young people to come together.” said.

Cube Satellite Project is entrusted to a special team

Azimov stated that last year, as TDT, they formed a technical working group to carry out the "Cube Satellite Project" and said:

“We are now discussing the results of the activity of this group. At the meeting, we agreed to form a special team of engineers to work on the joint satellite on behalf of the Turkish states. This team will continue its activities at the research center in Kazakhstan. Our member states will send their engineers to Kazakhstan to begin their research. Our ultimate goal is to launch a cubesat on behalf of TDT. "Our aim with this is to investigate the environmental conditions in our member states and to implement some studies."

“We were proud that Turkey sent its first astronaut into space”

Azimov stated that, as TDT, they also want to increase cooperation between universities and research centers in space research and said:

“Türkiye makes a great contribution to the development of space cooperation within our organization. We were proud that Turkey recently sent its first astronaut into space. Now they will send the Turksat 6A satellite into orbit, and this will of course benefit the country a lot. Turkey's experience in the space field will be very useful for our other Turkish states. Türkiye is ready to share its experience and knowledge.”
