Egyptian President Undersecretary İhab Memiş announced that the efforts to float the ship stranded in the Suez Canal have been successful. The Suez Canal Administration also announced that the efforts to float the giant cargo ship on the ground were successful and the canal was opened to maritime traffic.



Container ship Ever Given, which stranded on the Suez Canal in Egypt on Tuesday and blocked the canal, has been fully moved. Egyptian President al-Sisi said, "Thank you to all Egyptians who contributed to the solution of this crisis."

A week-long efforts to rescue the 200-ton container ship Ever Given, which ran aground on the Suez Canal and blocked its passage on Tuesday, have been successful. The head of the Suez Canal Administration, Lieutenant General Usame Rabie, stated that the ship was successfully and completely floated as a result of the studies and stated that the ship returned to its normal direction by 1 percent. With the move of Ever Given, good news came for the 80 ships waiting in the channel, but it has not yet been announced that the shipping operations in the channel will begin.

On the other hand, a total of 60 tons of sand was dug at a depth of 27 feet as part of the rescue efforts intensifying over the weekend. 14 tugboats were used to move the ship from its place.
