German President is in Ankara

President Erdoğan hosts Steinmeier, who paid an official visit to Turkey upon his invitation, at the Presidential Complex.

Following the official welcome ceremony in Beştepe, bilateral relations between Turkey and Germany will be discussed in all aspects and what can be done to further develop the cooperation between the two countries will be evaluated.

During the meetings, Israel's attacks on Palestinian territories and the latest situation in the region, the latest developments in the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia, Turkey-European Union relations, global and regional issues will be discussed.

After the bilateral and inter-delegation meeting, he will attend a joint press conference with Steinmeier.

After the meeting, President Erdoğan will host a dinner in honor of his German counterpart.

At the ceremony, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, Presidential Administrative Affairs Director Metin Kıratlı, Defense Industry President Haluk Görgün, Presidential Security and Foreign Policy Chief Advisor Akif Çağatay Kılıç. Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin also took part.
