TCDD Machinist and shredders want to wear

TCDD The mechanic and the scissors want to wear out: mechanists and hackers who say that they are struggling with many health problems and psychological problems asked for their right to wear by stating that they work under difficult conditions.

H. Erdinç Budak, Chairman of the United Railways Association (BİR-DEM), whose headquarters is located in Balikesir, stated that approximately 26 thousand 500 machinists and train officers working within the body of TCDD were working under the harshest conditions on the railways and asked for their right to wear back.

Stating that they had a meeting with the deputies in the General Directorate of TCDD, the Ministry of Transport and the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Budak said, “We are here to explain how much wearers of the machinists and train officers working within the TCDD are in this profession. We explained this by going to Ankara. These employees deserve actual service compensation. Our working conditions are very heavy. "It is an indicator of how hard conditions are working under weather conditions, physical environment, hot, cold, dust and noise."

Suggesting that the machinists and scissors workers have reached the end of their profession before reaching retirement, Budak said, “We believe that these employees can retire at least after their profession, when they receive their wear and tear compensation. When we look at the law numbered 5510, we think that they deserve the right to wear more than other professional groups because our friends work in harder and worse situations. ”

“Cases of heart attack are encountered while working under the high voltage line”

Stating that the machinist and train officer scissors workers get continuous health reports and have to undergo psychotechnical examinations, Budak said, “As the age gets older, it becomes more frequent to take these reports and take tests. When we look at these reports, we see losing eyes, losing ears, and psychological effects. ”

Budak, who recently said that while working under the high tension line on the train tracks, also encountered heart attacks, said, “Despite such difficulties, we have had friends who have earned a title due to ear and eye. As a result of the decrease in title, these friends can no longer work as a machinist and trainer. It is running in another section. This causes financial and psychological losses. ”

Pointing out that the number of active staff of TCDD has decreased as a result of loss of life, limb breaks and layoffs, Budak said that this will affect TCDD negatively.

H. Erdinç Budak, President of the United Railways Association, completed his words as follows: “In 1949, actual service compensation was given. In 2008, our actual service compensation was abolished by amending the Law No. 5510. In 2013, press members, MPs, TRT and forest workers were re-included in this law, but machinists were not included. It is not like comparing but our friends are working in harder conditions. Our hope is that our state will give us the right to wear out again. ”

“Hearing loss is experienced”

Seyfullah Koç, who has been a machinist on the State Railways for 26 years, stated that they faced a lot of difficult weather conditions and many accidents. Hearing loss occurs after years of working due to noise. Unfortunately, we encounter many fatal accidents on the roads. For these reasons, we have psychological problems. We work on electric lines. We are exposed to a magnetic field of 25 thousand volts. Many of our friends die from a heart attack and their children become orphans. For these reasons, we want the right to wear out from our elders. ”

Another mechanic, Hakan Şen, stated that he has been working as a train officer for 26 years and has been working as a clerk for 1 year. “As a reason, I had a group fall due to my occupational ailments. It affects us spiritually. After working actively for 26 years, we are working in that room as if we were jailed in a room. ”

Şen said that many of his friends had lost their limbs and lives while he was in the profession and said, "Let us return to the old system, let us wear out or give our old personal rights."
