“April 23, 2024 Due to the misleading information spread from some social media accounts about a patient who came to Izmir City Hospital on , it was deemed appropriate to make the following statement: In the incident in question, a patient who received health care at the hospital a while ago came to our hospital again around 11:00. Due to a prior notice that he was going to be violent, he was taken under control by the police in the hospital garden and a gun was found in his vehicle. The person was examined under supervision. Subsequently, following the process at the police station, he was released by the prosecutor's office as there were no complaints against him. The person in question came back to the hospital at 17.30 on the same day, requesting to meet with the doctors due to bleeding at the surgery site, which caused anxiety and the hospital security guards did not allow the meeting and took the person out of the hospital in a controlled manner. During this period, doctors were also informed. The person was handed over to the police accompanied by security personnel; Police procedures are continuing.
