IMM City Theaters Started the 38th Children's Festival!

The 38th "Children's Festival" organized by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality City Theaters started with children's games and workshops played on all stages on Sunday, April 21, with the motto "for a sustainable world".

On the first day of the festival, where City Theater plays and guest plays were staged, children learned to dream together, the importance of nature and recycling, and had the opportunity to get to know the concepts of consumption, cooperation, empathy and sharing by watching them on stage.

The opening play of the 38th Children's Festival, "World Without Garbage", was both entertaining and instructive. After the play, the children went to the activity area in front of Harbiye Muhsin Ertuğrul Stage.

Children, who had a pleasant time painting wooden and plaster figures, had the opportunity to have fun with songs at the concert of the IMM City Orchestra.

In workshops aimed at teaching children skills and recycling and protecting marine life;

In the "Instrument Making Workshop" organized by Volkan Aydın, children learned to increase the possibilities and duration of use of disposable materials that harm the environment by using them in music education.

In the "Own Jewelry and Bracelet Designing Workshop" and "Own Vase Designing Workshop" organized by Merve Derinkök Süngüç and Sabanur Balbal, fun snow globes, money boxes, jewelry and vases were made from the products we left aside as waste in order to teach children about upcycling.

At the "No Other World Workshop" organized by the Association for the Protection of Marine Life, children were taught how important the seas and oceans are for all humans and terrestrial life, what harms the seas and living things and how they can be protected.
