Salmonella Alarm in Europe: Ukrainian Chicken Meat Danger Is Coming!

While the European Commission requires its producers to comply with the world's strictest food safety standards, it was stated that it allowed Ukrainian chicken meat contaminated with salmonella to enter the country without any restrictions.

In its statement on Wednesday, the Hungarian National Chamber of Agricultural Economics (NAK) stated that 'this serious case', which was recently revealed to the public and cost the life of a person, points to the need for a radical change in European agricultural policy.

Stating that in recent months, it has been repeatedly pointed out that Ukrainian agricultural and food products coming to the European Union market without inspection pose a serious risk not only in economic terms but also in terms of food safety, Chamber officials demanded that EU regulations also apply to imported products.

In the statement of the Hungarian National Chamber of Agricultural Economy, it was said, "Due to the commercial advantages granted to Ukraine by the European Commission, not only farmers but also consumers are directly exposed to danger."
