Palestinians in Gaza Search for Relatives in 'Mass Grave'

Palestinians in Gaza are looking for their relatives in the 'mass grave' around the hospital. Authorities in Gaza announced that some 300 bodies had been recovered in the last three days.

According to Gaza Civil Defense, a mass grave was found near the hospital after the Israeli army withdrew its soldiers from the city at the beginning of the month.

According to the civil defense, which announced that they first found the mass grave on Friday, 73 bodies were removed yesterday. Thus, the number of bodies found reached 283. Among them were women and children, said Yamen Abu Suleiman, head of civil defense in Gaza, according to CNN.

Officials said some were killed during the siege and others when Israeli forces raided the hospital.

Head of civil defense Yamen Abu Suleiman said that some of the bodies were found with their hands and feet tied and said, "There were traces of execution." We do not know whether they were buried alive or executed. Suleiman said most of the bodies were decomposed, according to CNN.

No international organization has yet visited the Nasser hospital, where it is suspected that there is a mass grave.

However, according to Al Jazeera, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres sözcüStephane Dujarric described the finding as 'extremely worrying' and called for a 'credible and independent investigation'.
