Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün supports another exemplary social responsibility project. Another important step has been completed by Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, Belediyespor Club and Manisa Celal Bayar University to support earthquake-affected families who settled in Manisa.
Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün also provided serious support to the project through the Büyükşehir Belediyespor Club. It was announced to the public that the income from the Tofaş match that Manisa Büyükşehir Belediyespor Club, which competes in the Türkiye Sigorta Basketball Super League (BSL), will play in the first week of February, will be given to earthquake-affected families settling in Manisa. Manisa BBSK President Bora Çaylan said, “When young friends first came to visit us, we realized this. I told them too. The road they took was not a very difficult one. Because I told them that every door they go to will be opened to earthquake victims. I told them that they could go to any door without hesitation. Because all institutions wanted to do something for our citizens affected by the earthquake. All that was needed was a fire to light this wick. Our students also did this job well. They mobilized all institutions. We included our players and our club in the project to contribute as much as we could. Our Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, Mr. Cengiz Ergün, provided all kinds of support to the earthquake region and our earthquake-affected citizens. When we presented this project to our President, he immediately accepted it and assigned us to provide the necessary support. The most important thing our students do here is; All kinds of financial support are provided. Financial wounds are healing. We support such a project so that our citizens affected by the earthquake are not forgotten. "May God not let us experience such pain again," he said.
