The Turkish natural stone industry, which is one of Turkey's star sectors in exports, with an export performance of $2022 billion in 2,2, is preparing to meet with Chinese buyers, the second largest export market, after a 4-year hiatus.
The world's largest fair in the natural stone sector, Xiamen Natural Stone and Technologies Fair will host a big meeting in the natural stone sector between 5-8 June 2023. 60 exporting companies from Turkey are participating in the Xiamen Fair. Turkish natural stone exporters will be the leader in foreign participation at the fair, where 22 companies from 300 countries will participate.
The Aegean Mineral Exporters' Association will hold the Turkish National Participation Organization of the Xiamen Natural Stone and Technologies Fair, as it has been for many years.
Stating that the traces of the pandemic in China have completely disappeared, the quarantine has been ended, and that China has exceeded the expectations and achieved a 2023 percent growth rate in the first quarter of 4,5, the President of the Aegean Mineral Exporters' Association İbrahim Alimoğlu said that the Turkish natural stone industry has established intensive commercial ties in the last 20 years. He expressed that they are happy to meet with Chinese importers after a long break.
Informing that the Turkish natural stone industry reached an export potential of 2013 million dollars to China in 981, Alimoğlu said, “Due to the increase in natural stone stocks in China in the following years, the slowdown in the construction sector and finally the pandemic, our natural stone exports in China in 2022 will reach 419 million dollars. as much as it declined. China has overcome the pandemic and is tending to return to its old days in the economy. We expect the recovery in the Chinese economy to have positive reflections on the export figures of the Turkish natural stone industry. We will promote to increase our natural stone exports to China and buyers from all over the world, our goal is to increase our value-added exports, we aim to reach our old export figures in export to China in the process.
It is expected that 170 thousand professionals will visit the Xiamen Fair, which will be attended by a total of about 200 companies, 22 of which are foreign and from 300 countries, on a stand area of 140 thousand square meters. The Turkish pavilion, which will host its visitors in Hall A6, will bring together natural stone importers and Turkish exporters in an area of 746 square meters.
Xiamen Natural Stone and Technologies Fair will also host many events.

Turkey's Guanco Trade Flame Dilan Can will be with Turkish exporters during the Xiamen Natural Stone and Technologies Fair and will inform the exporters about the Chinese market. It will mediate meetings with the sectoral umbrella organizations of China in order for our companies to increase their exports.
At the Aegean Mine Exporters Association stand at Xiamen Fair, industry stakeholders will be provided with the experience of seeing the mine in a virtual environment and remotely identifying possible risk factors in the quarry with VR glasses.
