Has Netflix announced the Red Notice 2 release date?
Not yet! Netflix has not confirmed the release date of Red Notice 2. We're still not sure what year the movie will hit the streaming service. As noted, these are the three most in-demand movie stars in the industry right now, and they have very busy schedules.
We know that Red Notice 2 won't be coming to Netflix in 2023. This is definitely not happening. During its preview, Netflix shared the list of new movies that will be released later this year.
According to Collider, although the scenarios of Red Notice 2 and 3 are finished in 2022, it seems that the shooting of Red Notice 2023 has not yet started as of May 2. There were rumors that filming would begin in early 2023 and that the films would be shot back-to-back. However, we were unable to confirm this production timeline.
Production is said to start in January 2023, but it doesn't seem like it. It looks like Dwayne Johnson wasn't shooting the movie in January, thanks to Instagram, and was finishing up a new Christmas movie, Red One.
As of now, we don't expect to see Red Notice 2 on Netflix until late 2024, and potentially until 2025. There's a lot going on behind the scenes that could impact production on Red Notice 2 and 3 with the WGA strike, and the potential SAG strike is imminent.

Red Notice 2 and 3 are on Netflix
According to a report from Deadline, Red Notice 2 and Red Notice 3 are officially working on Netflix. The streaming network hasn't commented on the news, but the process appears to have progressed quite a bit.
The report mentions that construction is expected to begin in 2023. As director and writer Rawson Marshall Thurber mentioned in 2021, both films will be shot back-to-back.
Obviously, timing will be an issue. Reynolds, Johnson, and Gadot are three of the world's biggest stars and they're working on tons of projects alongside their business ventures.
Everything seems to be going well so far, which is a very good sign.
How many Red Notice movies will there be?
There is only one Red Notice movie on Netflix so far. There are two Red Notice movies officially in production, and there may be more if Netflix continues.
Red Notice ending announced
Red Notice ends in a pretty interesting place for Red Notice 2. In fact, he's basically setting up the sequel.
After Booth, Hartley and The Bishop snatch Cleopatra's egg from a secret Nazi stash in Argentina, it is revealed that Hartley and The Bishop, aka Sarah, are actually together! They're always working to find the third egg they stole from Booth and turn it into $300 million from the Egyptian billionaire.
This story does not end here.
Booth contacts Interpol and gives them The Bishop's secret bank account. Interpol intervenes and takes all the money.
Booth later joins his two favorite people on their boat and announces he has a new mission for them, but they must team up to make it happen.
In the final scene, we see Booth, Hartley and Sarah walking towards the Louvre. Art robbery is coming!

We know that Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot should return for the sequel. We should also assume that Ritu Arya and Chris Diamantopoulos will be returning for Red Notice 2.
