He thinks, researches and works on what can be right and better… Our ideas may differ in order to establish a stronger future; but our goal is one and common, the bright future of Turkey. This point brings us to politics, because the debates that will shape the future of our country take place in the political arena. We EGİAD We do not enter politics as a company and we stand at an equal distance to all parties due to our practices; However, we also use our right to have a say in the decisions that will guide our future, and in this sense, of course, we are also involved in political issues.”

EGİAD President Alp Avni Yelkenbiçer listed the proposals with the following title and content:

•We think that the confrontational structure between politics should come to an end, that competition with each other should not bring down society and politics, but that a development-oriented perspective should prevail all together. As we need trust in many areas, we see the rule of law as the top priority area of work to alleviate conflicts in society and to allocate social peace.

•Gender equality is an indispensable element for our democratic development, inclusive growth and sustainable development goals. We believe that women's participation in economic, political and social life on an equal basis with men can solve the problems of poverty and income inequality. We strongly oppose the use of the Law No. 6284 on the "Protection of the Family and the Prevention of Violence Against Women" in politics, and we say "The Istanbul Convention Keeps You Alive".

•We think that one of the biggest problems in our country is earthquake resistance. However, we are also very uncomfortable with the fact that this is handled with rent and real estate economy. Yes, urban transformation is one of the most important requirements for earthquake resistant cities, but while planning this, we think that we need new cities that are compatible with nature and the environment, instead of higher floors and larger houses. In parallel with this, we regret to see that the problem of housing in our country is also ignored in urban transformation plans.

•We want equal opportunity in our education system. Academy is the birthplace of free thought. We insistently demand that our universities return to the principle of self-government within a structure away from politics. Again, if we continue with education, we want our primary, secondary and high school education to be structured according to 21st century competencies and to focus on analytical thinking, science and technology.

•We think that we need policies that put people as the basis of development in our country. I would like to draw attention to the importance of the NEET concept (young people who are not involved in employment) emerging in the world. This concept represents the youth, that is, the youth, who are neither in employment nor in education nor in education. I would like to say with great regret that our country is the world leader in this regard and that one out of every 3 young people lives at home, they are not looking for a job even though they have graduated from school, and they are not in any education. We think that it is our real “survival problem” to confine our young influence, of which we are so proud, to homes.

•In the field of governance, we consider it imperative that civil society, business world, private sector and public work as a harmonious whole, open to ideas and interaction, and operating in a bottom-up approach. We want the tasks to be distributed on the basis of merit and in a transparent manner in all layers of society. We think that civil society should benefit from dynamism and politics.

•We want our institutions to be reorganized on the basis of transparency, merit, independence and accountability. We know that all the achievements of the Republic are possible with the rational and efficient work of the state levels, and that they are realized by sound rules guiding them as well as honest and disinterested administrators. We believe that we need strong institutions and the rules required by the age rather than strong leaders.

•As the business world, we urgently want the allocation of economic planning, a predictable and stable form of governance. We know that the economic systems and scientific approach accepted all over the world are also valid for our country. We see that our fragile economy is not dependent on experiments or short-term decisions, and we underline that it needs a reliable economic policy in order for the business world to see the way ahead and for investment and employment to continue.

•We think that one of the most important driving forces of social development will be green transformation and digital transformation. We think that we should support our country, which missed the industrial revolution, to create a competitive advantage in the international arena with policies and incentives as a pioneer in the green and digital revolution. We believe that we should support creative thinking by making our education policies green and digital, and support our young minds by making them pioneers in transformation.

•We demand that secular and pluralist democracy cannot be discussed at any level, and that independent judiciary and inspection mechanisms, which are a reflection of the principle of separation of powers, are preserved in daily life. We want the legislature, executive and judiciary to be strengthened independently of each other in their own areas of responsibility and we need a system where they do not conflict with each other.

Finally, we demand that the right of every living thing in our country to live in dignity and to maintain its existence be guaranteed. We persistently express this demand at every opportunity, regardless of women-men, foreign-immigrants, children, animals, trees-forests.
