Turkey's leading private sector power generation company Enerjisa Üretim announced that it has received a loan of 110 million dollars with a seven-year maturity from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Enerjisa Üretim, a subsidiary of Sabancı Holding and E.ON, received a seven-year maturity of 51,6 million dollars from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to finance the new, fully renewable energy investment that will increase its installed capacity by 55 MW and the purchase of a 110 MW operational wind power plant. will use credit. Enerjisa Production, which aims to prevent approximately 52 thousand tons of CO2 emissions annually as a result of investments, will also contribute to the social and economic development of the regions.

Emphasizing the importance of renewable energy for Turkey's green future, EBRD General Manager of Sustainable Infrastructure Nandita Parshad said, “The Bank's relationship with Enerjisa Üretim was established more than a decade ago with the financing of Balıkesir Wind Power Plant, Turkey's largest wind farm. started. Since then, Enerjisa Üretim has continued to grow and has become one of the most important electricity producers in Europe and a pioneer in digitalization. We are pleased to develop this active partnership by supporting the company's ambitious expansion plans for its renewable energy portfolio. We have to use Turkey's renewable energy potential in order to reduce carbon emissions in the country's economy and accelerate green targets. By financing this project, we will prevent more than 52 thousand tons of annual carbon emissions from Turkey's electricity generation, and this will be an important step towards achieving the country's net zero targets.”
