11 Billion Dollar Contract Signed at the World Artificial Intelligence Congress

The 18th World Artificial Intelligence Congress (WIC), held in Tianjin, China, between May 21th and 7st, hosted the meeting of many companies. In the congress, which is one of the most important events in the field of artificial intelligence in the world, contracts worth 98 billion yuan (approximately 81,5 billion dollars) were signed for 11,58 basic projects.

The projects that are the subject of the contract cover industry chains in different fields, as well as brand new information technologies, the automobile branch, the subject of biomedicine, infrastructure construction, new energies and new materials, according to the organizers. About a thousand official government representatives, experts, scientists and entrepreneurs from 51 countries and regions attended the event.

The four-day event, organized around the theme of “Intelligence, comprehensive development area, sustainable growth engine”, was held at the Tianjin National Convention and Exhibition Center and various regulatory areas of the aforementioned port city. Since it was first held in 2017, this event has been a forum for scientists, entrepreneurs and economists from within and outside the country to discuss the latest developments in artificial intelligence technology.
