KOSGEB launched a call for proposals for the development of the furniture industry in Bursa within the scope of the Advanced Entrepreneur Support Program. Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank announced the call in Bursa. Minister Varank, who opened the furniture fair in İnegöl district, said, “Within the scope of KOSGEB Advanced Entrepreneur Support Program, we will provide 1 million lira support to new entrepreneurs who will offer technological solutions especially for the development of the furniture industry in Bursa. Thus, our young people and women from Bursa will contribute more to the economy of the city and our country by establishing their own businesses in the furniture sector.” said.

CALL FOR BUSINESS IDEA

Within the scope of the protocol signed between KOSGEB and the Technology Development Foundation of Turkey (TTGV), Advanced Entrepreneur Support Program Business Idea Call for Proposals was published. With the call, non-refundable support of up to 1 million TL will be given to technological entrepreneurs who will put forward the business idea that offers solutions for the development of the furniture industry in Bursa.

TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS

Explaining that they will provide 1 million lira support to new entrepreneurs who will offer technological solutions, especially for the development of the furniture industry in Bursa, within the scope of KOSGEB's Advanced Entrepreneur Support Program, Minister Varank said, “Thus, our young people and women from Bursa will contribute more to the economy of the city and our country by establishing their own businesses in the furniture sector. Good luck.” he said.

ENDING MAY 15

Program applications will close on May 15 at 23:59. Entrepreneurs who set up their businesses within the scope of the support program; Support will be provided up to 450 thousand liras for machinery-equipment and software expenses, 360 thousand liras for employment, and 140 thousand liras for rent and office equipment expenses. Mentoring, consultancy and business coaching expenses will be supported up to 30 thousand liras and establishment expenses up to 20 thousand liras. KOSGEB will provide non-refundable support up to 1 million TL in total.

BUSINESS IDEA ISSUES

The application made within the scope of the call; Software activities/digital solutions for design, logistics, purchasing, sales and after-sales business processes; Activities for the reuse of waste and reduction of waste; Solutions that increase quality and efficiency and reduce costs for production processes and inputs (such as machinery-equipment, raw materials and materials); It should include one or more of the solutions for the appearance, quality or protection of the product (painting, coating, printing, etc.).

WHO WILL APPLY?

The entrepreneur who will apply for the call; Those who were born on or after January 1, 2020, graduated from at least a four-year undergraduate program of a university or are enrolled in any undergraduate program will be required after January 30, 1. can apply to the program. Age criteria will not be applied to women entrepreneurs.

EDUCATION AND MENTORING

Among the entrepreneurs with business ideas who will offer technological solutions to the furniture industry, which will be evaluated by KOSGEB, 30 entrepreneur candidates, who are deemed suitable, will be included in the training and mentoring program within the scope of the cooperation between KOSGEB and TTGV. Entrepreneurs who complete this program will be able to apply to the Advanced Entrepreneur Support Program within the determined support upper limits. The entrepreneur whose application is accepted will have to establish his business in Bursa and the business will continue to operate in Bursa during the program.

REGIONAL AND SECTORAL CALLS

KOSGEB had previously made sectoral calls for needs in different provinces or regions by conducting joint studies with different institutions and organizations. In this context, strategic sectors focusing on furniture in Kayseri, mobility in Istanbul and Kocaeli, and defense industry, medical devices, information/digitalization technologies and financial technologies in Ankara, and clean energy and clean technologies in Izmir and Manisa.
