Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar came to TCG ANADOLU with Chief of General Staff General Yaşar Güler, Land Forces Commander General Musa Avsever, Naval Forces Commander Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu and Air Force Commander General Atilla Gülan.

According to maritime traditions, Minister Akar greeted the sailor's whistle called "silistra" when he boarded the ship, and greeted the ceremonial squad.

Minister Akar, who was on the bridge of the new "flagship" of the Naval Forces Command, TCG ANADOLU, received information from the navigation officer about the passage of the Bosphorus.

Following the completion of the final preparations, the ship started its departure activities from the port, following the "idler" command given by Minister Akar.

After the ship's commander's command "Bismillah ropes fora", after the ropes to which the ship was connected to the port were gathered, the battery whistle sounded and the ship started its course.

TCG ANADOLU, the largest warship of the Naval Forces Command, will greet the people by crossing the Bosphorus, as part of the 23 April National Sovereignty and Children's Day activities.

During the Bosphorus crossing, 21 guns will be fired from TCG ANADOLU, who will also greet President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Aircraft and helicopters affiliated to the Air Force Command will also accompany the transition.

The moments when the ship left the port were watched with interest by many citizens gathered on the beach.
