Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) renewed the stadium section and opened the Silivri Müjdat Gürsu Sports Facility, which it opened for the use of sports clubs, and offered additional sports fields to the service of the people of the district. Fitness and studio rooms were added to the facility, which did not exist before. After the works in which the new changing rooms were built, the monthly capacity of 500 members of the facility reached 4 thousand.
365 days of sports can be done
Müjdat Gürsu Sports Facility was renovated in 2021 with a capacity of 2 people and a new tribune with a capacity of 800 people was added. After the opening, work was started in other areas of the stadium, which was offered to the sports clubs in the district. The floor and drainage arrangements of the two existing open carpet pitches were made. The goal posts and the construction surrounding the pitches were renewed. After the scoreboard and bell system were built, eight changing rooms and a warehouse were built on the carpet pitches whose lighting was changed with a led system. After these works were completed, both fields were completely covered and sports were made available 700 days a year.
During the works carried out by the Facilities Maintenance and Repair Directorate under the coordination of the IMM Youth and Sports Directorate, new sports fields were added to the facility. With the project realized in open sports areas, a fitness center and a studio hall, which did not exist before, as well as four locker rooms and two trainer rooms were built to provide the facility with branches and sports areas needed by the people of the region.
