Ankara Metropolitan Municipality provided logistical support to the UIPM Modern Pentathlon World Cup organized under the coordination of the Turkish Modern Pentathlon Federation.
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB), Youth and Sports Services Department provided logistical support to the UIPM Modern Pentathlon World Cup held under the coordination of the Turkish Modern Pentathlon Federation.
The UIPM Modern Pentathlon World Cup, which started with the hosting of Ankara Equestrian Sports Club, was attended by a total of 32 pentathlon athletes, 76 women and 78 men, from 154 countries in 5 different sports branches.
ABB Youth and Sports Services Department Sports Services Branch Manager Burak Özgül stated that an important sports organization was organized and said, “Before the 2024 Paris Olympics, our city hosts an important international organization. We contributed to the organization attended by 32 athletes from approximately 154 countries. We will continue to support and contribute to national and international organizations held in Ankara.
Athletes who competed fiercely in the branches of Equestrian, Fencing, Swimming, Running and Shooting in the capital were awarded with medals. The 2-day competitions ended with the Mixed Relay Race.
Turkish Modern Pentathlon Federation Serhat Aydın thanked the logistics provided by ABB and said:
“We did the second leg race of the world cup. One of the toughest competitions in the world… The modern pentathlon is a branch consisting of 2 disciplines… While we were organizing our organization at Ankara Equestrian Club, our Metropolitan Municipality also helped us a lot. We would like to thank our Ankara Metropolitan Municipality.”
