'July 15 Martyrs Bridge' Opened to Reduce Adana's Traffic Load

The 15 July Martyrs Bridge, which will reduce Adana's traffic load, was put into service with a ceremony held on Friday, 28 April. Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, and Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, General Manager of Highways, as well as many guests and citizens attended the program attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan via video conference.

President Erdoğan stated that the transit traffic burden, connecting the Western Mediterranean to Central Anatolia and Southern Anatolia to the GAP, is on Adana's shoulders, and in this context, the 700 July Martyrs Bridge, which is 15 meters long, has 23 decks and 3 way rounds. He said that they opened it to include a 3-lane railway with 6 arrivals and a two-track railway.

Expressing that with the project that removes the burden on the crest road of Seyhan Dam, which is used by 35 thousand vehicles a day, the transportation between the stadium, universities, city hospital and other parts of the city in the northern part of Adana has become much easier, President Erdoğan said, and that it will save our country 2 million liras annually from time and fuel, and that it will reduce carbon emissions by more than 340 thousand tons.

Minister Karaismailoğlu, on the other hand, said that they will continue to sign many transport works that took Turkey through the ages. Stating that the city population and vehicle ownership have increased in Adana, which has a great contribution to the country's economy, Karaismailoğlu stated that they completed the 15 July Martyrs Bridge in order to reduce the traffic density of the people of Adana as soon as possible.
