Bursa Metropolitan Municipality started to offer the convenience of contactless payment by credit card in urban public transportation vehicles. The application will provide great convenience to citizens who come from outside the city and want to take advantage of daily public transportation.
Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, which constantly encourages public transportation with investments such as shortening waiting times in the subway and modernizing public transportation vehicles, has now started the credit card payment period for buses with subway and validator. For payments to be made with Visa and MasterCard credit cards, which have contactless payment features, and smartphones with NFC feature, the applicable commission fee will be charged by the bank. For credit card payments where the full tariff will be applied, a commission fee of 5 TL will be charged for each part of the transportation fee up to 1 TL, 5 TL for the portion between 10 TL and 2 TL, and 10 TL for the transportation fee between 15 TL and 3 TL.
The application will provide great convenience especially to citizens who do not have Bursakart and who want to use public transportation to come to the city for a day from outside the city. Considering that the empty Bursakart fee is 35 TL, a single boarding short line ticket is 18 TL and a single boarding long line ticket is 30 TL, Bursaray full boarding fee, which is 8,50 TL when paying with a credit card, will come to 10.5 TL with the bank commission.
