Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem Yüce examined the ongoing works on the bridge that provides the passage over the Sakarya River in Arifiye Mollaköy. President Yüce, who received information about the latest situation on the bridge, which has a very important place in regional transportation, stated that they carried out ground improvement works with the renovation of the bridge piers and deck section, and noted that the bridge would be put into service in a short time.

Bridge piers and deck are completed

Stating that the Mollaköy bridge on the Sakarya River has made the crossings safe, Mayor Ekrem Yüce said, “The Mollaköy Bridge, which is the important crossing route of the neighborhoods in the region, was deformed over time, and the body and foot connections were damaged. We started our work on the subject and took action to renew it. We built a new pillar for the bridge with the bored pile method. We have come to the end of the deck that forms the upper part of the bridge. Hopefully, we will complete it as soon as possible and put it into service. I wish you good luck," he said.

Transitions will be safe

Stating that the bridge will provide safe transportation for many years, Mayor Yüce said, “We carry out renovation works on the routes that are under our responsibility throughout our city, and we make transportation comfortable with both asphalt and compressed concrete. In addition, we keep security measures at the maximum level at vehicle and pedestrian crossings. Mollaköy bridge was also deformed over time. Hopefully, when our transactions are completed, the crossings will be safe," he said.
