The practice, carried out by the Ministry of Justice, which puts an end to child delivery through enforcement for 90 years, started today in 9 provinces and 59 districts where Istanbul and Ankara are located. Thus, the number of provinces and districts where the application was carried out increased to 481, and the number of child interview centers to 597.

With the participation of Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ, the application, which was launched simultaneously in 4 provinces determined as a pilot on April 2022, 11, and ended the enforcement process regarding the delivery of children under custody to their parents, is being rapidly expanded throughout the country. The number of courthouses in which the application was launched in 413 provinces and districts to date has reached 481 with the ones opened today.

IMPLEMENTATION STARTED IN 9 PROVINCES AND 59 DISTRICT COURTS

As of today, child delivery by enforcement, which is a 90-year practice, will be carried out at child interview centers opened in 9 provincial courthouses, namely Ankara, Istanbul, Bitlis, Erzincan, Isparta, Konya, Manisa, Mersin and Ordu.

As of today, Adilcevaz, Ahlat, Akyurt, Amasra, Vehicle, Ayvacik, Ayvalik, Azdavay, Bakirkoy, Bala, Bayramic, Biga, Bodrum, Bulancak, Buyukcekmece, Can, Cayirli, Demre, Dereli, Devrekani, Edremit, Egirdir, Elmadag, Erdek, Erdemli, Espiye, Ezine, Finike, Gaziosmanpaşa, Gallipoli, Gonen, Görele, Güroymak, Haymana, Hizan, İliç, Kalecik, Karapınar, Kaş, Keçiborlu, Kemah, Kemaliye, Kemer, Korkuteli, Kumluca, Küçükçekmece, Lapseki, Manyas, Marmara, Children's meeting centers started to operate in 59 districts, including Mutki, Refahiye, Senarkent, Sütçüler, Taşköprü, Tercan, Tirebolu, Ulus, Yenice and Yığılca.

30 thousand 880 transactions were carried out

Since the start of the application, a total of 57 files have been processed, including child delivery in 356 files and personal relations in 413 files, in interview centers affiliated to 585 courthouses in 5 provinces and 675 districts. Since the delivery of more than one child and the establishment of personal relations are carried out at time intervals in each file, the number of transactions carried out so far has reached 6.

With the new application implemented by the Ministry of Justice by considering the best interests of the children, parents who are not given the right of custody but are given the right to see their children according to the determined calendar no longer have to apply to the enforcement offices. These parents can contact their children at the designated child interview centers by applying free of charge to the legal support and victim services directorates established in the courthouses. Children's interview centers, which are designed to protect children's rights in the judicial process and to take protective and supportive measures for children, respond to the needs of children.

SPECIAL AREAS ARE CREATED

Children's meeting centers are located in or close to parks, gardens, places where social, sports and cultural activities are carried out, which will allow children to spend quality time with their parents. In addition, there are sections such as children's waiting and playground, adult waiting room, meeting room, baby care room, where books, magazines and toys suitable for all age groups are located in these centers. While establishing child interview centers; areas such as youth centers, family life centers, social service centers, public gardens and chambers, kindergartens and kindergartens are evaluated.

THE SECONDARY EXTRACTION OF THE CHILDREN HAS BEEN PREVENTED

Decisions on child delivery and personal relationship with the child given by the courts are carried out in these centers with a child-centered approach, taking into account the best interests of the child. These procedures, which have been carried out by enforcement offices to date, are carried out by experts in appropriate delivery places designed in child-friendly manner, not by force, but primarily by communicating with the parties and children, based on consent. Counseling can be given to the parties on the correct parenting roles and how they should behave in this process. With the application, it is aimed not to cause secondary traumatization of children during and after the divorce process.

It is aimed to expand the service throughout the country by the end of the year.
