Waterless Hand Cleaning Gel Production for Earthquake Victims

While Afyonkarahisar Gazi Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Chemistry Department produces waterless hand cleaning gel for earthquake victims to use by volunteer teachers and students, the prepared gels are shipped to the region with the coordination of AFAD.

Afyonkarahisar Provincial Director of National Education Miraç Sünnetci, Provincial National Education Deputy Director Musa Dinçgez and Branch Manager Mustafa Günay visited Gazi Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School and received information from the administrators and teachers about the materials produced at the school.

Making a statement after the visit, Sünnetci said, “Product development studies were carried out in the field of our school's Gazi MTAL Chemistry Technology field so that our Earthquake-victimized citizens can clean their hands and hair without using water, and as a result of these studies, waterless hand cleaning gel was produced. Trial production of waterless shampoo has been completed and work has begun to fulfill legal procedures.

In addition, the production of cleaning agents such as soap, bleach and surface cleaners for our disaster victims in the earthquake zone and Credit Dormitories institutions continues.”
