The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has determined the procedures and principles regarding raw milk support payments. The Ministry's Implementation Communiqué on Raw Milk Support and Regulation of the Milk Market entered into force as of January 1, after being published in the Official Gazette.
With the Communiqué, the procedures and principles regarding the support payments included in the Decree on the Raw Milk Support to be Made in the Years of 2023-2024 and the Regulation of the Milk Market, which was put into effect by the Presidential Decision, were determined.
Accordingly, the resources required for raw milk support and regulation of the milk market will be met from the appropriation allocated to support animal husbandry in the budget.
In this context, based on the prepared payment summary; Support payments will be made to cow, buffalo, sheep and goat milk over the periods, criteria and unit prices to be determined by the Ministry.
Raw milk support is the sale of raw milk produced to milk processing plants through itself, the producer or breeder organization or their partnerships in which they have a share of more than 50 percent, in return for an invoice/e-invoice/e-archive invoice/producer receipt/e-producer receipt. and to the breeders who are members of a producer-breeder organization that registers monthly in the Ministry's Milk Registration System (BSKS) database.
Producers who convert their raw milk into dairy products through producer organizations within the scope of the regulation of the milk market will also benefit from the support.
The enterprises that will benefit from raw milk support and the animals from which the milk is obtained must be registered with TÜRKVET.
Compliance of milk cooling tanks, milk collection centers and milk filling facilities with the provisions of the current legislation will be checked.
In raw milk support, producer-breeder organizations that cause the grower's grievance by failing to fulfill the authorities, duties and responsibilities given to the producer-breeder organizations in a timely manner will be responsible for eliminating the grievances.
