İzmir Metropolitan Municipality ESHOT General Directorate built two more mobile dormitories to be sent to the earthquake zone. In addition, a mobile clinic and a container operating room were prepared. The vehicles will be made available to the Eşrefpaşa Municipality Hospital team, which provides health services in the earthquake area.

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, which established service coordination centers in Hatay, Adıyaman, Kahramanmaraş and Osmaniye after the earthquake disaster that shook Turkey, carries out activities in every field needed by the citizens of the earthquake, from tent and container installation to drinking water infrastructure, from cleaning to health services. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality ESHOT General Directorate, which previously converted the four-articulated bus into a mobile dormitory and sent it to the region for the temporary accommodation of search and rescue teams and earthquake victims, built two more mobile dormitories in Gediz workshops with its own means. In addition, a mobile clinic and a container operating room were prepared. Vehicles will be provided to reach the region as quickly as possible.

Surgery can also be done

Ersel Çetin, ESHOT General Directorate, Department of Transportation Investments, Bodywork and Autopainting Branch Manager, said that they have prepared three more mobile dormitories to be sent to the region and said, “Physicians and auxiliary health personnel of Eşrefpaşa Municipality Hospital, which is affiliated to our municipality, are also working in the region. We have created a clinic vehicle for them as well as two mobile dormitories. A container operating room that will be integrated with the mobile clinic was also sent to our workshop by Eşrefpaşa Municipality Hospital. Here we made the exterior paint, the legs and the mini corridor that will connect it to the clinic bus. All the necessary medical tools, equipment and materials were placed inside. We continue to do our best for our earthquake victims,” he said.
