Artifacts belonging to the Sumerian period were seized in Şanlıurfa. According to the information obtained, 2 people were detained in the historical artifact smuggling operation organized by the Gendarmerie in the Haliliye district of Şanlıurfa.
Şanlıurfa Provincial Gendarmerie Command, Fight Against Smuggling Crimes Branch teams carried out an operation against historical artifact smugglers. HY and MFM were detained in the operation. During the searches made at the addresses of the suspects, 1 piece of 16 cm tall bronze horse figure statue, 1 piece 55 cm tall marble statue, 1 piece 6 cm tall bronze horse figure statue belonging to the Sumerian Period were seized.
The historical artifacts were delivered to the Şanlıurfa Museum Directorate.
