Diyarbakir Metropolitan Municipality will enable disabled citizens to travel with a "Guide Dog" so that they can safely travel on municipal buses.
The Department of Transportation worked in accordance with the rules of the "Regulation on Amending the Road Transport Regulation" by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and the letter of the Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change to allow "Accessibility" "Guide Dogs" to board the transportation vehicles.
According to the study, visually impaired citizens will be able to travel with a guide dog in all public transportation vehicles belonging to the Metropolitan Municipality.
In addition, pets such as cats, dogs (except for dangerous ones) and birds (goldfinches, budgerigars or canaries) with vaccination certificates can be transported on the lap of the passenger or in front of the seat, except for the luggage-carrying section, provided that their special cages are locked.
