Thanks to the qurban donation campaign carried out by the Istanbul Foundation, IMM delivered meat to the homes of 232 thousand families. A total of 3 million 43 thousand TL was collected in the sacrifice donation campaign, which was held for the third time this year. With the donations collected, 506 cattle were sacrificed. The cut meat was canned and delivered to those in need.

The Eid al-Adha donation campaign, organized for the third time this year by the Istanbul Foundation affiliated to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), attracted great attention from philanthropists in Istanbul and Turkey. A total of 3 million 600 thousand TL was collected in the donation campaign, whose share price was determined as 43 thousand 506 TL this year.

SUITABLE FOR RELIGIOUS PURPOSE AND ENVIRONMENTALLY SENSITIVE

With these donations, IMM Istanbul Foundation sacrificed 1.728 cattle in accordance with health conditions and religious obligations. From these victims, which corresponds to 12 thousand 85 shares, 169 thousand canned cubes, 57 thousand marrow bone broths, 3 tripe soups and 3 trotter soups were obtained. 50 percent of the soup and marrow juices were provided by the company.

As last year, IMM Istanbul Foundation slaughtered the victims with the same company in the Kemalpasa district of Izmir this year. The cuts were made under camera recording and under the supervision of a notary public. The director of the foundation gave a power of attorney to the person who made the slaughter for each segment. The slaughtering was carried out in the company of the imam affiliated to the Diyanet, under the control of the veterinarian of the district agriculture directorate, and by reading the names of each donor.

The company, which has EIA Positive Certificate, Environmental Permit, Work License, Business Approval Certificate, Halal Slaughter Certificate, ISO 26001 Quality Management System Certificate, made the cuts without harming the environment. Blood, garbage, manure, etc. from the cuttings. wastes were sent to licensed biogas and recycling facilities. After the skins of the slaughtered animals were sold by the company, the cost was donated to the Istanbul Foundation.

CAN CAN BE PRODUCED ACCORDING TO THE FOOD CODEX

After the slaughtering process was completed, the meat, which was taken to rest for three days, was then processed and made ready for canning. Compliance with the food codex was prepared by obtaining a certificate of conformity from the university. The cans that did not contain any additives were subjected to a 21-day waiting period and were brought together with those in need who received help from IMM after the laboratory test.
