After Germany and Japan, young entrepreneur Kürşat Yurdagül, an electrical and electronics engineer, produced an earthquake early warning system in Turkey with own resources.

The device, which is of vital importance for Turkey in the earthquake zone, was made by the young entrepreneur Kürşat Yurdagül living in İzmir. Kürşat Yurdagül, who made the cost-effective device produced in Germany and Japan with its own resources, said that the device was purchased by many institutions and organizations, especially some state hospitals and municipalities.

Making statements about the earthquake device, Kürşat Yurdagül said, “Our device can give warnings up to 20 seconds before the minimum earthquake. It has received approval certificates from many national and international organizations. It was offered for sale from the techno catalog section of the State Supply Office”.

This device, which is only available in Germany and Japan in the world, has a market value of approximately 30 thousand Euros. The device produced in Japan can be bought for around 50 thousand dollars. The domestic device produced by the entrepreneur Yurdagül is available at more economical prices than its counterparts. In addition to the early warning system, the device also has a sensor feature. Another feature of the device is that in the event of a disaster, it pulls the elevator to the nearest floor and keeps the door open. The device, which cuts off electricity, natural gas and water automatically, takes security measures. The device notifies the earthquake in a minimum of 20 seconds and a maximum of 1,5 to 3 minutes in advance, depending on the distance. Giving information about the working system, the young entrepreneur Yurdagül said that the device received the data from the seismometers they placed on the fault lines.
