The Ministry of Interior made a statement about the operation carried out by Mersin Provincial Gendarmerie Command yesterday in Toroslar and Akdeniz districts.
In the statement; “Within the scope of the studies carried out by the Mersin Provincial Gendarmerie Command on 27 April 2022 in Mersin Toroslar and Akdeniz districts to decipher the domestic actions and activities of the PKK-KCK Armed terrorist organization, the Claw-Kilit operation carried out against Metina, Avaşin Basyan and Zap regions in northern Iraq. In order to retaliate against the operation, 6 terrorists, who were determined to be in search of a bomb attack with an EYP device, were caught and detained in their residences in a simultaneous operation," the statement said.
During the search carried out in the residences of the captured terrorists, a large number of digital materials were seized for examination.
