Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department has undertaken a different project to warn drivers who park at bus stops. The Metropolitan Municipality, which puts different messages such as "I do not prevent my disabled brothers from getting on the bus" instead of prohibitive signs at the bus stops, draws attention to the negativities that may occur in case of incorrect parking of the drivers.
Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Department of Transportation Traffic Education Branch Directorate developed a different project to prevent the traffic from being negatively affected by preventing the vehicles parked at the bus stops. In this context, warning signs were prepared to prevent parking at bus stops located in areas with heavy traffic. Signs with five different messages were placed in the regions selected as pilots in the first place. In the messages that draw the attention of the drivers and explain that they may be in wrong parking, "I do not prevent my disabled siblings from getting on the bus", "I do not prevent pedestrians from getting on the bus", "I do not endanger the traffic by not parking at the stops", "I do not violate the traffic rules by parking the stops" and "To the traffic flow. Implemented in pilot areas
Instead of strict and prohibitive messages, the project, which warns the drivers with messages written specifically for the driver, and explains the possible negativities in case of incorrect parking, was initiated at the bus stops in Cumhuriyet Street and in front of Denizli State Hospital, which was chosen as the pilot area in the first place. After the project gives positive results in pilot areas, it will be implemented in other regions with high traffic.
