Free transportation service to cemeteries has started in the districts of Diyarbakır: Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality has started to implement the free public transportation service in the city center in order to enable citizens to reach the cemeteries more comfortably.

Diyarbakir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cumali Atilla, citizens to reach cemeteries in a more convenient and trouble-free access to the city center on Thursday, the free public transportation service, was also implemented in the external districts. Metropolitan Municipality, Bismil, Çermik, Çınar, Çüngüş, Dicle, Ergani, Eğil, Hani, Kocaköy and Silvan districts began to provide free public transport services on cemetery routes on Thursdays.

Citizens will be left to district centers

Citizens going to the cemeteries, the hours will be determined by the buses taken from the district centers to be taken to the cemeteries. Following the visit to the cemetery, citizens will be left to the district centers again.

Lice and Hazro district cemeteries are within walking distance, so transportation will not be provided. In Kulp district, bus services are not provided to cemeteries due to the lack of road conditions.

Citizens stating that they have problems in reaching the cemeteries, the Metropolitan Municipality has implemented a service that is very important for them, he said.
