Kenan Sofuoğlu will Try Speed Record on Osman Gazi Bridge: Kenan Sofuoğlu will try 400 kilometers speed record on the opening day of Izmit Bay Crossing Bridge, which will also be attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
National motorcyclist Kenan Sofuoğlu will attempt a 4 kilometer speed record at the opening ceremony of the suspension bridge, which is named Osman Gazi Bridge and has the title of the 400th bridge with the world's largest middle span. Sofuoğlu, who shares photos from his social media account, has a speed record of 396 kilometers, previously tried in a closed area.
Kenan Sofuoğlu will participate in the 8th foot race of the World Supersport Championship in Italy this weekend. After this race in Italy, he will make test drives on the bridge to evaluate wind and other natural factors.
The Osman Gazi Bridge, whose construction was completed between Dilovası Dil Cape and Altınova's Hersek Cape, was opened to transportation on 30 June.
