Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Mustafa Yurt announced that 80 percent of the superstructure works of the light rail system construction between the station and Tekkeköy district have been completed and the construction will be completed on October 10th. The minibus drivers said that the rail system would be affected negatively by reaching to Tekkeköy.
Stating that they did not complain about the construction of the rail system, the drivers said that they wanted to use the same route. The drivers stated that their work would be reduced by half, saying "Our job is left to God", and some called for "No one should prevent our bread".
Addressing the President of TŞOF Fevzi Apaydın, the driver tradesman said, “Let him protect us. We do not know how much they will protect it. Time will tell, ”he said.
