In level crossings zero accident

The International Level Crosing Awerness Day (ILCAD), announced in 2009 under the leadership of the International Railways Association (UIC), is celebrated this year on 3 June 2015.

Various activities are organized in our country due to ”International Level Crossing Awareness Day Ül.

Within the scope of activities; The conference titled Hayd Increasing safety around level crossings and in the vicinity X will be hosted by TCDD at 3 June 2015 on Wednesday at 10.00 at Haydarpaşa Station.

Representatives from many countries, including Germany, Finland, France, Switzerland, Kenya, Estonia, Latvia and the United Kingdom, are participating in the international conference.

Within the scope of esi International Level Crossing Awareness Day “, the reasons of level crossing accidents, prevention of accidents etc. brochures are distributed to citizens in public matters, posters will be hung in public spaces, public spots will be published.

As known; most of the level crossing accidents occur as a result of road vehicle drivers failing to obey the rules and behaving hastily and carelessly.

In order to make the level crossings safer, TCDD, together with the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, carried out several studies in the 2003-2013 year period in order to make the level crossing problems more reliable.

With the entry into force of 3 on July 2013, the z Regulation on Measures and Implementation Principles for Railroad Level Crossings “will be considered together with all stakeholders of level crossings, especially local administrations, non-governmental organizations, universities and police units.
