Karakurt: High Speed Rail Road Construction and Station Work Accidents continue to increase.United Transport Employees Union (BTS) Chairman Nazım Karakurt, high-speed rail road construction, work in the station and gar work continues to increase by the accident, he said.
Chairman of the United Transport Workers Union (BTS) Nazım Karakurt, high-speed rail road construction, station and gar work in the work continues to increase accidents, he said. Karakurt, tarafından Lastly, the murder of the work in Soma is a massacre as well as the negligence of relevant ministries and institutions are known by everyone. When we look at this, we are calling on TCDD to fulfill its responsibility during this high-speed rail road construction. Bun
It Under the name of restructuring works in the name of railways and privatization works have continued uninterruptedly for the last 15 years; Karakurt, in his written statement, gave the following statements:
Göre Lastly, the building collapsed during the construction of the Arifiye High Speed Train Station building on 29.05.2014. 6 workers were wounded and the health status of these workers was good.
2013 accident occurred on the railways in the sum of the number of fatalities of 147 and the number of casualties from passenger-personnel and other persons as 55 accidents. In the light of these data, it can be seen how big the accident rate in our railways is.
In recent times, many accidents occurred during the construction of high-speed train lines. Workers as subcontractors have suffered from fatal events resulting in fatalities and injuries, as the institution and the related firm did not take necessary occupational health and safety measures.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS FOR MEASURE AND TRAINING
According to the Labor Law, employers are obliged to take all necessary measures to ensure occupational health and safety in the workplaces, to keep the tools and equipment deficient, and to comply with any precaution taken in the field of occupational health and safety.
It is a legal requirement that DHMI and TCDD take the OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SAFETY service in the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication, establish committees in the workplaces, take necessary safety measures and periodically train their staff. When the subject is examined and the training programs and occupational standards are compared in terms of institutions, it is seen that the education given under the GENERAL OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SAFETY subjects meets the NATIONAL STANDARD's supervisory provisions, but in reality the relevant institutions, especially the railways, do not provide the necessary training on the navigation safety issues and the measures are not taken.
Ensuring navigation safety of the high-speed train under any circumstances is another priority. However, as there was no earthquake and order to act in the event of an earthquake which would endanger the trains running on the Marmaray line, as seen in the earthquake which is the center of Çanakkale and which was felt from Istanbul, the initiative was left to the personnel on the other hand. However, there should be clear regulations and orders about what to do in case of such a negative situation and a mechanism should be established to ensure that the train is locked automatically without being left to the initiative of the personnel. On the other hand, in order to prevent the loss of life and property in case of a possible earthquake within the framework of a protocol, it is necessary to work with the Kandilli Observatory of TCDD about the implementation of the earthquake at the time of the earthquake.
MANY ACCIDENTS HAVE COME IN FAST TRAIN CONSTRUCTION
Many warnings about occupational health and safety have been made by our union so far and necessary measures have been taken in matters that threaten the security of navigation. Even though it is said that enough measures have been taken so far in the institutions, many accidents occurred during the last year especially during the construction of high-speed train, and caused the deaths and injuries of our citizens working as subcontractors.
RESPONSIBLE, APPROPRIATE MANAGEMENT APPROACH
The responsibility for this painful situation in the railways is the management approach which, despite the insistence of our union, does not take the necessary preventive work security measures, insists on our demands and ignores our warnings. Our union has repeatedly warned and written so far and has requested the necessary preventive security measures to be taken.
MANUFACTURED BY MANY WORK
Especially during the construction of high-speed trains, large construction companies are contracted by many subcontractors. Since the colleagues working here are flexible and unregistered and overworked and the necessary occupational health and safety measures are not taken, the fatal and injured accidents have been increasing in recent years.
