Music Masters from the Turkish World Take the Stage in TRNC

With a concert consisting of the works of famous composers from Azerbaijan, Tatarstan, Turkey and Cyprus who left their mark in the Turkish world, academicians and students of the Department of Music Teaching of Near East University will present an evening full of music to art lovers on Friday, April 19, at 19.00.

The "Turkish World Composers Concert", prepared by the Near East University Atatürk Faculty of Education Department of Music Teaching, will take place on Friday, April 19, at 19.00 at the Near East University Grand Library Hall.

In the concert, which will be open to the public free of charge, academicians and students of the Near East University Department of Music Teaching will present to the audience the works of Turkish composers who grew up in different geographies and were nourished by various cultural influences. The concert will present a unique musical feast consisting of Cyprus Folk Songs and the works of Fazıl Say, Rüstem Yahin, Tofiq Quliyev, Ali Küçük, Fikret Amirov, Arif Melikov, Kara Karaev and Kamran Aziz.

A Turkish music festival will be held at Near East University!

The Turkic World Composers Concert will start with the work "Jumping Rope" by the famous Azerbaijani composer Tofiq Quliyev. In addition, Quliyev's works called "Lyrical Dance", "Walk", "Gızlar Mahnısı" and "Sene de Galmaz" will be presented to music lovers throughout the night. Ali Küçük's works "Etude" and "Zeybek", Kamran Aziz's "Al Yemeni" and "My Cyprus", Fikret Amirov's "Waltz", Rüstem Yahin's "Tatar Melody", Arif Melikova's "Prelude" ”, Fazıl Say's "Kumru", Kara Karayev's "Waltz" and "Dance" will be performed by academicians and students of the Department of Music Teaching at Near East University.
